Game console repairs

Console faults can look similar from the outside. A careful inspection helps determine whether the issue sits with the cable, connector, cooling system, drive or electronics inside.

What we can assess

Start with the symptom.

These are common starting points, not a complete list. The make, model, history and condition of the device determine the practical options.

No picture or signal

Display dropouts, damaged HDMI connections and consoles that power on without a usable image.

02

Power problems

No power, unexpected shutdowns or operation that is intermittent.

03

Heat and airflow

Excessive fan noise, overheating warnings and shutdowns during use.

04

Drives and controls

Disc-reading faults, damaged ports and controller buttons, sticks or charging issues.

Useful answers for this repair.

Still unsure? Send the details you have. A clear initial enquiry is enough to begin.

01Does a no-signal fault always mean the HDMI port is broken?

No. The cable, television settings, connector and internal electronics can produce similar symptoms, so the cause needs to be checked.

02Can you look at controllers as well as consoles?

Yes, controller enquiries are welcome. Please describe the affected buttons, stick behaviour, connection or charging problem.

03Should I keep using an overheating console?

It is better to stop and arrange an assessment. Repeated high-temperature shutdowns can place additional stress on components.
